11-12-23 A miracle here, a miracle there, miracles are everywhere!

Are you seeing miracles in your life? They are there! Some call them tender mercies, which they are, but miracles for sure. There are coincidences that are anything but that. With all, we give thanks to our Heavenly Father whose hand we see in all good things, and silver linings in the bad. He is mindful of us in every situation--ready to bless us through His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

"Under the direction of His Father, He was the creator of the earth. 'All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made' (John 1:3)."
This week one of our cars was reported in part of a crime! WHAT?!!! Gasp!!! The license plate and color of the car were reported. Elder Kennan was asked to look into the car-- was it one of ours? The license plate was correct, the make of the car, yes-- we could not find the color. The police wanted to question the young elders who are responsible for the car. Elder Kennan called them to let them know what to expect, and to help calm them down.
Miracle-- Our Mission Leader had been delayed at interviews and was only 15 minutes away from these 'now very nervous suspects.' He drove there immediately.
A second crime was reported in a nearby city-- same car and license plate.
Miracle--who took the call at the police station? A ward mission leader who had contact numbers with our mission.
Miracle--evidence--a video of the car front and back--different license plates! And the drivers were NOT missionaries. (And-- the front license plate was missing from the mission car.)
The police officer visited with Elder Kennan who updated him about the first situation.
Thank you!❤️ Heavenly Father for prayers answered.

Fall has arrived--I am thankful for the beautiful colors--each leaf is evidence of His love for us.
We are getting new Senior Couples who have 'heard the call' to serve! The Stocks are coming in on Monday. I visited with Sister Stock while they were still in the MTC. I told her that we see miracles in our mission all the time. (Sister Quinn started Miracle Monday where the mission joins a zoom meeting and shares miracles from the week.)
Sister Stock called and shared an experience she had: She was out walking and met a gentleman who questioned her about her mission-- our name tags are powerful!---he was interested in having the missionaries contact him. Where does he live? Santa Rosa!

It has been raining here and more is expected-- the grass in our little church yard forrest is turning green.
I guess one of the greatest miracles here are the missionaries themselves! I mean, really-- 18, 19, 20 year olds giving up friends, school, cars, family, phones, dating, jobs, social media--everything to come and serve -- spreading the good news that Jesus Christ brought. They are the ones people listen to! These young ones. They are the leaders who will receive Christ when He comes.
Missions are difficult, some go home early for a variety of reasons--have they failed? NO! They came. Continue to pray for all missionaries--away from and serving from home, and after they return. Adjusting to home after a mission is a challenge!

At a dealership getting a new key fob; the tech elders and the APs; at a car swap-- bringing one in to get fixed, taking one home.

The colors of fall

Out and about-- a message from home-Syd; a movie-Greek Wedding #3; at the office--Elder Scoresby, Hawkins, Colling, & Caldwell; out to lunch with a brother from the ward-Brother Blank; making minky blankets with Sister Larsen; a walk in the park with Sister Schneider --blessing my life.
SEE miracles! My serving here is one!!!
