As the beautiful fall season begins back home, it's difficult not to look back and miss the color of fall. I keep thinking about Lot's wife as she looked back and longed for her old life. So I just look forward and 'just keep swimming' and hope I'm doing a little good somehow.
This is beautiful, but watch out! Poison oak-- I'm sure there's a lesson there somewhere.

We have just gone through transfers with missionaries changing areas and others going home after serving so faithfully. I've grown accustomed to seeing those we work with so closely and am saddened to see the change, yet know that they're on to new seasons themselves.

Elder Colling and Elder Clark, one of our APs (assistant to the President)-- on the right, going home to Herriman, Utah-- such a GREAT young man!

Elder Scoresby and Elder Andersen-- the 2 young elders that have been helping us. Elder Andersen, on the right was transferred out of the office and is now out teaching again. What a talented young Elder! We will see him again at zone conferences.

Luggage of missionaries leaving.
Besides the comings and goings, this week has been filled with creating a map of where the apartments are in our mission, helping fix breakfast for the outgoing missionaries, CONFERENCE, a little walk in the woods, shopping for groceries, talking to future apartment managers, RAIN, 2 drives downtown-- to fix a cracked windshield and to FedEx-- along with this and that-- a variety for certain.
I am blessed to be here-- I was humbled and grateful as I listened to Elder Rasband's talk during conference. Have you considered a mission? Did you hear the call as he spoke? Now is the time! Be up and doing! Adventures and service awaits.... at home or away-- you are needed.

Rain!!

Sister Larsen our office secretary (a talented quilter and everything else) and Sister Schneider, our mission nurse/healthcare advisor.(She spreads joy everywhere!)

A lizard on our walk.

A walk around the lake
